If you watched my latest ASMR Cooking YouTube video, you've seen the delicious, creamy salmon onigiri I made using best girl Tina's recipe and my Korean tofu salad.
Salmon Onigiri
Rice Ingredients:
* 2 cups warm cooked rice
* Furikake seasoning
* 3 nori sheets
* A bowl of water (this is to wet your hands so that the rice do not stick to your hands)
Raw Salmon Filling:
* 1 cup salmon sashimi, cubed
* 2 tbsp japanese mayo
* 2 tsp soy sauce
* 1 tsp chili oil
Recipe:
Mix the cooked rice and furikake seasoning, to taste.
Add all the raw salmon filling ingredients together and mix.
Place a small amount of the raw salmon filling on a layer of rice then top with more rice.
Form a rice ball. Add more rice to ensure no spillage.
Mold the rice ball into a triangle shape.
Place a nori sheet on the outside (this adds flavor and also ensures you don't have sticky fingers from the rice).
Korean Tofu Salad
Ingredients:
* 1 package, 14 oz. soft tofu
* 1 minced garlic clove
* 2 tsp soy sauce
* 2 tsp sesame oil
* 2 tsp rice vinegar
* 2 tsp maple syrup
* Scallions, finely chopped for garnish
Recipe:
Take the tofu out of the package and drain the excess liquid. Leave it to rest on a plate as you prepare the sauce. This will leech out more water while it rests.
Combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and maple syrup into a small bowl.
Cut the tofu into eighths and drizzle the sauce over it.
Garnish with some finely chopped scallions.
